Dr. Bui attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate study and graduated with a degree in Biology in 2000. He attended the University Of Houston College Of Optometry and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2004. Dr. Bui attended an additional post-graduate residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Baltimore from 2005-2006, focusing on ocular disease management.
Dr. Bui has a special interest in myopia management to help slow down the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. He is very nearsighted himself, so he knows how severe myopia can affect a person's life. He attends conferences with the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control to learn new information regarding myopia management.
Dr. Bui is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, Northeast Texas Optometric Society, and a member of the American Optometric Association. He was also the past president of the North East Texas Optometric Society, a member of the Texas Optometric Association, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
